ThruBeam composite trench cover
For Fibergrate

ThruBeam, proven on camera

A proposal for the ThruBeam data centre film.

October 2026 · Prepared for Grant Hann, Fibergrate Structures

A render is a promise.

Film is proof.

The brief

What we heard

Who it's for

Data centre designers, consultants, contractors, facilities teams, distributors and infrastructure buyers.

What it must do

Show where ThruBeam is used, why composite matters, and exactly how authorised access is secured.

What it must avoid

Any hint of indoor use, unapproved claims, or a mechanism that looks more complex than it is.

Why film

Buyers decide on what they can see

85%*

have been convinced to buy a product or service by watching a video.

89%*

say the quality of a video affects how much they trust a brand.

63%*

would rather learn about a product from a short video than anything else.

Real footage is what makes a claim believable. So we film everything we can and use 3D for the rest.

The approach

Three methods, one film

Studio

Product detail under controlled light. The hex tread, the lock indicator, the tool going in and turning.

Outdoor

Operatives in a working utility yard, lifting, replacing and maintaining covers outdoors.

3D

The parts a camera can't see, drawn in a clean blueprint style: the locking plate, the campus and the range.

The key moment

The cut that shows the lock working

ThruBeam lock indicator with hex socket and lock symbols
1 · Studio

A hand turns the actual key in the lock indicator.

Locking plate withdrawn in its recess
2 · Match cut to 3D

We cut to under the cover, where the plate sits withdrawn.

Locking plate bridging the joint between two covers
3 · Locked

The plate swings across the joint and links the two covers.

Images are your supplied renders. Rotation, plate travel and tool to be confirmed by ThruBeam engineering.

The film

Your story, in 60 seconds

Even videos under a minute hold viewers for about half their length.* So we keep your arc, trim the problem first and protect the lock sequence, as your own notes suggest.

The practical bit

Filming is the easy part

Two days, then done

One studio day and one outdoor day. We only need your team for a few hours.

We bring everything

Crew, cameras, lighting, risk assessments and on-set health and safety. You bring the product.

No data centre needed

We film at a stand-in yard or a Fibergrate site, then build the campus in 3D behind it.

Weather-proofed

The outdoor day has a backup date, and the hero shots are done in the studio in any weather.

Proof

Films we've already made

Film, blueprint and 3D

Cross Group

A product film for the UK and Ireland's only providers of Sintra's patented industrial air distribution systems.

Ductwork filmed on site, a blueprint walk-through of the system, 3D airflow across a warehouse, and a customer interview.

Every technique in our ThruBeam plan, including the blueprint look, in one industrial film.

Hybrid product film

Copper Industries

The largest supplier of bespoke hot water cylinders across the UK and Ireland, and our client for a decade.

Their product film cuts between cylinders filmed in the factory and 3D views inside them, showing the coil heating up and what the cylinder is made of.

Live action and 3D in one product film. We've already made this kind of film, and it works.

Medical devices

Aerogen

A medical device maker whose products have treated 16 million patients in 75 countries.

Aerogen Go, 3D film. The device comes apart and back together, then we cut to people using it. Watch (37s)

TPS-S, 3D visuals. The product is the only real object. Its circuit is drawn as a clean diagram.

Precise 3D for a regulated product, where every claim has to be right.

Options

Two ways to make it

Option A

3D only, as briefed

  • Animated master built from your CAD
  • Locking, application and teaser cut-downs
  • Every scene computer-generated
£13,500
Option B · Recommended

Hybrid film and 3D

  • One studio day and one outdoor day, plus 3D
  • Master and the same three cut-downs
  • A library of stills and footage for sales
£19,500

Working to a tighter budget?

These prices assume ideal circumstances. There are other ways to approach the film, and we're happy to talk them through on a call.

Both: 60s master (75s on request) framed for 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16, voiceover, licensed music, amends at each approval gate. Prices exclude VAT.

Timeline

Weeks 1-2

Pre-production

Storyboard, script and claims signed off. Location and kit booked.

Gate 1
Week 3

Shoots

Studio day and outdoor day. First-look frames and materials.

Gate 2
Weeks 3-6

3D build

Campus, range and locking sequence from your CAD.

Gate 3
Weeks 6-7

Gate 5

From you: production covers, a frame section and the tool for the shoots, final CAD, engineering sign-off on the lock motion, approved claims and brand files.

Gates match the five approval stages in your brief. Timings depend on CAD, product and sign-off turnaround.

Next steps

Let's make it

  1. Agree the approach, A or B
  2. We send the storyboard and a fixed quote
  3. Engineering confirms the lock motion
  4. We book shoot dates
